West Hempstead School Board Agenda: March 20

The West Hempstead Board of Education will vote on approving several contracts and bids tonight at their regularly scheduled monthly business meeting, and two memorandums of agreement. They'll also of Nassau BOCES renewing its lease of the .

Among the docket items listed in the lengthy agenda for the March 20 meeting is one for a transportation and routing consultant, who would be tasked with finding ways the district could operate its busing routes more efficiently and less costly.

Also, included in the agenda are two memorandums of agreement one with Local 424, United Public Service Employees Union and the other with the West Hempstead Office Staff Association of United Public Service Employees Union, regarding their contracts with the district.

It appears that Nassau BOCES may be renewing its lease with the West Hempstead school district afterall as an agreement appears on the March 20 agenda under "Old Business."

And under "New Business," the board will be discussing the addition of an ex-officio student member to the Board of Education.
