West Hempstead School Board: Feb. 12

See what topics the West Hempstead school board will tackle at tonight's meeting.

The West Hempstead Board of Education will hold its monthly business meeting tonight (7:30 p.m.) in the videoconference room of West Hempstead High School.

Among the items on the agenda for the Feb. 12 meeting is an agreement with SCOPE for the West Hempstead School District's summer recreation program, nominations for BOCES Board of Trustees seats and the acceptance of a private donation.

The board will also be voting on 20 existing policies and one proposed policy regarding special education services for students unilaterally placed in non-public schools by a parent or guardian.

As always, there will be two periods for West Hempstead school district residents, students and staff, and Island Park residents to address the board during the meeting.

The full agenda can be viewed above.
