After losing Game 1, West Hempstead's varsity girls bounce back to win three in a row.

West Hempstead High School's varsity girls volleyball team celebrated Senior Night Oct. 28 with a victory over Lynbrook.

The Rams put up a fight in the first game against the Lynbrook Vikings, but lost  25-18. The team rallied though and came back to win the next three matches, taking Game 2 by 10 points, Game 3 by seven and Game 4 by eight.

"It was senior day and our six seniors really came through," said Suzanne Kenney, who is in her second year as head coach of the team.

"We're in the top conference," Kenney explained. Despite the team's record, she expects them to end the season in sixth or seventh for the overall league.
