Whiz Kids: Malverne Robotics Team Wins Entrepreneurship Award

Malverne High School's Mechanical Mules impress judges at SBPLI FIRST Robotics Regional Event.

The members of Malverne High School's robotics team, the Mechanical Mules, have a bright future ahead of them.

Last month, the team earned the Entrepreneurship Award at the School and Business Partnership of Long Island’s (SBPLI) FIRST Robotics Regional Event. The award recognizes the team that best displays entrepreneurial enthusiasm, strong organizational skills, and the vital business skills needed to ensure a self-sustaining program.

Malverne was one of only six teams that won the Regional Engineering Inspiration Award and advanced to the championship round. Although they are not advancing to the nationals this year, the team is still very excited to participate in upcoming events and invitationals, proudly representing their school and communities.
