Hofstra Women’s Lacrosse team picked up both weekly awards from the
Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) this week as sophomore attack
Brittain Altomare was named the conference’s player of the week, while
freshman attack/midfielder Becky Conto from West Hempstead earned her
fourth CAA rookie of the week honor.
Altomare, Hofstra’s top player all season, leads Hofstra in scoring with 32 goals and 32 assists for 64 points.
put the final finishing touches on a stellar rookie campaign over the
weekend as she posted six draw controls and added an assist as Hofstra
earned a 12-10 victory over Drexel to capture the No. 3 seed in the
upcoming Colonial Athletic Association Championship. Faced with a
must-win situation, Conto led the way for Hofstra from the draw control
area as she had six in a stellar performance.
