Crime Report: Counterfeit Money Given at Pizzeria, Promoting Prostitution Charge

Arrests

Dec. 22 - at 3:35pm, David M O’Brien, 28, of Valley Stream, was arrested and charged with petty larceny from CVS located at 633 Merrick Rd.

Dec. 23 - at 1:16pm, Bruce E. Sliney, 59, of Freeport, was arrested and charged with five open warrants, four warrants for trespass and one for disorderly conduct. The defendant was arrested in front of 455 Sunrise Hwy.

Dec. 23 - at 2:06pm, Jason Morales, 18, of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with petty larceny from a residence on Clifford Street.

Dec. 28 - at 10:00pm, Michael Tamayo, 31, of Valley Stream, was arrested and charged with assault. The victim is a 26-year-old female from Nassau County. The assault occurred at a Vincent Ave. residence.

Dec. 28 - at 11:48pm, Denis Rodriguez, 22, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and two open warrants for Town of Hempstead code violations for unlicensed dog and dog not vaccinated for rabies. The defendant was arrested on Vincent Ave.

Dec. 31 - at 12:35am, Isaiah R.,F. Moultrie, 26, of Inwood, was arrested and charged with two open warrants for facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation. The defendant was arrested on Broadway.

Case Reports

Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument – At 8:30pm on Dec. 19, the complainant reports that a subject did attempt to pass a counterfeit $50 bill at 14 Atlantic Ave. The U.S. Secret Service was notified and is investigating.

Promoting Prostitution - At 11:30pm on Dec. 27, the complainant, a 27-year-old female, reports that a two males and a female did take her to the Lynbrook Capri Motor Inn located at 5 Freer Street. The two males and female did arrange for the complainant to engage in prostitution and did profit from the acts.

Criminal Mischief – At 6:30am on Dec. 23, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) did damage both of the windshield wipers on their auto, which was parked at their residence on Winter Street. The total damage is $200.

Grand Larceny – At 9:40pm on Dec. 23, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) did take their pocketbook from 38 Atlantic Ave. The pocket book contained assorted credit cards, assorted debit cards, gift cards, car keys, NYS Driver’s License, and checkbook in the complainant’s name.

Criminal Mischief – At 7:12am on Dec. 24, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) did damage their PVC fence located at their residence on Carpenter Ave. The total amount of damage is $250.

Att. Identity Theft - At 2:15pm on Dec. 26, the complainant reports that an unknown person did attempt to add their name onto the complainant’s credit card account by using the complainant’s personal information and address on Daley Place.

Petit Larceny - At 6:15pm the complainant, the manager of located at 400 Sunrise Hwy, reports that 73 assorted Maybelline cosmetics where removed from the store. The value of the cosmetics is $484.55.

Petty Larceny - At 7:25pm on Dec. 29, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) did remove a package from in front of their apartment door located on Broadway. The package contained a corner book shelf valued at $130.

Grand Larceny - At 8:28pm on Dec. 29, the complainant reports that their wallet was missing from the vicinity of their Union Place residence. The wallet contained $270, credit cards and personal paperwork. The complainant reports that their credit card was then used at located at 118 Union Ave.

Criminal Mischief - At 2:50pm on Jan. 1, the complainant reports that while their vehicle, a 1999 Pontiac, was parked in the Municipal Parking Field #12, Sunrise Hwy and Forest Ave, it was damaged by an unknown person(s). The vehicle was scratched with an unknown object causing $1,000.
