USTA OFFERS NEW SATURDAY TRAINING PROGRAM FOR JUNIORS

The USTA Eastern Long Island Region is offering a new Saturday training program for junior players designed to introduce new players to the game of tennis and prepare those with some experience for tournament and team play.

The affordably priced Early Training Program, offered at $100 per child (with a 10% discount for the second child in the same family) for 10 two-hour sessions weekly, is available for children ages 5-18. It is sponsored by the USTA Eastern Long Island Region and National Junior Tennis League, and is run by Long Island Tennis Services, under the direction of Daniel Burgess. Mr. Burgess, who is the President of the USTA Eastern Long Island Region, has 35 years of coaching experience and is a USPTA P1. All coaches are certified by USPTA and PTR and are USTA clinicians.

The program incorporates the USTA QuickStartTM format for younger stars up to age 10 and a comprehensive instructional curriculum for teen and pre-teen champions.
