Lynbrook Continues Undefeated Run, Slams Division, 37-6

Paul Magloire rushes for a career-high 236 yards.

The Lynbrook Owls unstoppable offense defeated Division on Saturday afternoon with a score of 37-6, continuing an unbeaten streak of 6-0.

The first quarter it seemed both teams were evenly matched, playing mostly at the 50-yard line. Lynbrook gained momentum at the start of the second quarter with a 50-yard touchdown by a fake hand-off from quarterback Paul Magloire. Lynbrook's Magliore rushed for a career-high 236 yards and scored two more touchdowns in the game.

After their first touchdown, the offense was in full swing. Travis Lock, following a penalty late in the second quarter, had a 20-yard run into the end zone, giving Lynbrook a two-score lead which was followed by a two-point conversion. Lock then rushed 135 yards with two touchdowns for the Owls.

Senior Mike Calderone led the offensive line that allowed Lynbrook to accumulate 406 rushing yards. Lynbrook's defense was just as aggressive. Conor Daly recorded 10 tackles for a defense that also forced two fumbles.

Lynbrook remains the only unbeaten team in Conference III, while Division drops to 1-5 with the loss. Lynbrook's next game is Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Lawrence High School.
