Lynbrook Resident Performs National Anthem at MLB Playoff Game

Andrea O'Neill and the Deltones performed the national anthem before the start of Saturday's game between the Phillies and the Cardinals.

Lynbrook's has made several headlines in the last week.

On Monday O'Neill and her college a cappella group, the University of Delaware Deltones, began competing on NBC's "The Sing-Off" and on the hit show.

On Saturday, O'Neill and the Deltones checked another accomplishment off of their list, as they performed the national anthem in front of a packed house of more than 43,000 people at Citizens Bank Park before the start of the National League Division Series game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the St. Louis Cardinals.

"The experience was absolutely incredible," O'Neill said. "We were so honored to be asked to do something like this. It was definitely nerve-wracking because it was so different from filming for 'The Sing-Off' — there were a lot more people in the stadium than there were in the studio."

You can catch O'Neill and the rest of the Deltones on Monday nights at 8 p.m. on NBC.
