For the first time in Malverne School District history, the girls varsity tennis team has been crowned as conference champions.
Under the direction of coach Patrice Ward, the Malverne-East Rockaway team placed first in Conference IV for the 2013-14 school year.
The district congratulates team co-captains Sigourney Hessic and Chenell McBean and members Faith Adeyeye, Sara Afzali, Amelia Bennett, Melanie Beurnier, Adwoa Boakye-Yiadom, Valencia Covington, Garrine Fenelon, Courtney Jackson, Sidra Khan, Aiza Mahmood, Briana McGovern, Tiffany Nagasawa, Ashley Pierre, Nia Pollard, Maia Robinson, Diana Sharkey, India Tutt and Roberta Williams.
