Measles Outbreaks: Are Parents Who Don't Vaccinate Putting Your Kids At Danger?

Health departments from coast to coast are reporting measles outbreaks. What's your take? Should parents be required to vaccinate when it comes to public health issues or is it a personal decision?

Do people seriously think that unvaccinated children/adults carry around strains of the Black Plaque, Measles, mumps and let's add Hepatitis in there!!! Everyone is a carrier. An unvaccinated being can easily get theses viruses and their body fights them off, hmm I think a vaccinated person can too???? All human beings are carriers. Vaccines do not cure the vaccinated! People throw the Herd Immunity "theory" out there like it's the bible!!! If vaccines are so safe and effective, where is the HIV/Aids Vaccine? Tons of people are dying daily from Aids, even young children!!! Go to Haiti for a few weeks and see how many drop like flies in a day. If vaccines were that effective they would have had an AIDS vaccines years ago!!!! No one talks about gardisil and the HPV vaccine? How well is that working our for everyone? Girls are dying and becoming disableD in the thousands from that vaccine!! but so quick to scare every mother and father to jab their daughter with the poison! Let's not get started on Hepatitis!!! Sure newborn have such a threat for the disease, why no inject them at 4 hours old!!!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion; respect that because you will not change how people view vaccinations by belittling them. You can present information only, impartial information, and then let people decide for themselves.

Suzanne, save yourself some grief. There's nothing anyone can do about John as long as he refuses to take his meds.

"Everyone is entitled to their own opinion; respect that because you will not change how people view vaccinations by belittling them. You can present information only, impartial information, and then let people decide for themselves." not at all, there are some things you can't decide for yourself, simply because it poses a greater threat to the wider community. there are plenty of examples - you can't drive a car while under the influence, you can't NOT take your children to school or educate them, you can't light fires in national parks during summer. the problem with people, many people (as evidenced here) is that they are idiots. and it's all well and fine to be happy being stupid so long as your irresponsible, ill informed decisions only impact you. but - for the protection of everyone else, (including the children of idiots, who are most at threat in this case) we have laws. these laws ensure that we don't return to the 16th century - where a flu pandemic could wipe out millions of people. “They say even death can't cure an idiot. - Ririn" Unfortunately this is true...

You are not entitled to your opinion, and if you don't agree with Ari, you're an idiot.
