A Florida prosecutor has determined that an FBI agent was justified when he used deadly force against Ibraghim Todashev, a Chechen man linked to the Boston Marathon bombing suspects, according to the Washington Post.

Florida state prosecutor Jeffrey Ashton’s full independent report is expected to be released Tuesday.

An FBI agent, who has not been identified by authorities, shot Todashev seven times, killing him on May 22, 2013. The FBI has said that the 27-year-old mixed-martial arts fighter attacked the agent with a metal pole during questioning in his Orlando apartment.

According to the FBI, prior to being killed, Todashev implicated himself and Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, also now deceased, in a 2011 triple homicide in Waltham, Mass.

In 2011, Raphael Teken, 37, Erik Weissman, 31 and Brendan Mess, 25, were found murdered in an apartment, ABC News reported. A Waltham investigator told ABC the crime scene was "the worst bloodbath I have ever seen in a long law enforcement career."

The FBI had previously cleared the agent. The Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division is finishing its own investigation, according to the Washington Post.

Zoot- Yes, how very neat and convenient, justice served at the barrel of a gun. If all crimes could just end so quickly with no loose ends.

One wonders if any of you posting ever were in a confrontation with someone under the influence of drugs or someone trained in martial arts. I'm not a cop, but with much exposure to their environment and occasionally in mine in EMS, it certainly may have taken seven( rapid fired) shots in the heat of a life or death situation to subdue/ eliminate the threat this guy posed. So quick were are to criticize- did some of you writers think this Chechen wanted to sit down in a well lit room with the FBI guy and have tea and biscuits and give the details of his prior crimes? He wanted to kill the FBI guy !! So it's one less terrorist in the world- one less risk to Americans. Bravo!!

lets change this . the patch is not serving us the missing plane , is not way down in the south pacific. it has been flown to one of the stans. there they are either readying it for another attack , or dismantling it for it's technology. this wild goose chase the world is on, is serving the terrorists well.

frank vecchione: That similar idea has crossed my mind also, but more in the hostage vein. You know, where they fly to some third world country and demand the release of brother terrorists. Where is Chuck Norris or Steven Segal when you really need them?
