Malverne Ambulance Corps. Teach Scouts Life-Saving Skills [Photos]

Boy Scout Troop 24 learns CPR and more lessons from MVAC.

They know how to tie fall-proof knots and start a fire without a match, and last week Boy Scout Troop 24 learned how to save lives.

Members of the donated their time last Tuesday to teach the scouts how to perform CPR and adminster first aid. Inside the basement of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, the boys were split into three different teams and went from station-to-station learning important skills from MVAC volunteers. By the end of the night, the scouts knew how to properly care for wounds, create slings, perform CPR and safely lift and carry an injured person.

Check out the photos above to see them in action.
