PREVIEW: Holiday at Halls

With the park re-opened West Hempstead residents can continue this holiday tradition inside Halls this year.

Only a small group of residents turned out to which had to be held outside of Halls Pond Park, as it was closed for renovations.

However, this year, the and it has been spruced up, so this West Hempstead tradition can be celebrated as it was intended.

Join the West Hempstead Community Support and Civic Association and other locals this Sunday, Dec. 4 at 5:15 p.m. Everyone will gather at the park's entrance to hold the annual lighting ceremony. There, a tree, which has been beautifully decorated by volunteers Ron Margarie, Bill Greve and his son, Jon, will come to life.
