- Head to the West Hempstead Library Monday at 7 p.m. for Northern Italian Cooking. “Join Chef Barbara Sheridan for a delightful evening of Italian cuisine and culture as she prepares a wonderful Northern Italian meal for us to sample.” 

- There will be a vendor’s fair at Temple Am Echad of Lynbrook on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m.  “Visit and shop, snack on some homemade goodies,shop some more and encourage your friends in the community to join us as well .We have assembled some different and unique vendors with prices that will surely please.”

 - Malverne Community Theatre presents "A Grimm Night” on Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26.More details can be found here.  

- Rolling River Day Camp in East Rockaway will hold their annual fall festival on Saturday. “Break out your best Halloween costume and bring your family!” The event runs from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and features carnival rides, crafts projects, Halloween trick-or-treating, sponsor giveaways, food and refreshments, a petting zoo, face painting, music, and more. 

- Dees Nursery in Oceanside is holding a fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. The Halloween Haunted House is back this year by popular demand.
