Lynbrook Movie Theater Update, Free Summer Concert and Swim Across America

Lynbrook Village Board Meeting: The board will hold a public meeting to review the potential rebuilding of the Regal Movie Theater on Merrick Road in Lynbrook. “The Mayor and Board encourage you to join with them at  this meeting at Village Hall to learn more about this proposed project.” The meeting is Monday night, 8 p.m. at Village Hall, located  at1 Columbus Drive.    

Rebuild Right Post-Sandy: Did you see the latest announcement from Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino? The Councilman gave his advice on insurance for those whose homes suffered big damage from Superstorm Sandy. Read more here.

Free Family Movie in West Hempstead: The West Hempstead Community Support & Civic Association will host a free family outdoor movie on Saturday, August 17 on the Echo Park baseball field, starting at 8:30 p.m. The film is the Disney classic, “The Lion King.”

2nd Annual Berts Tennis Fundraiser: “Take out Alzheimer’s Disease with that ‘Winner Shot.’” On Friday, August 16, Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center,  Inc. will host its 2nd  Annual Berts Tennis Fundraiser, which will be held at SPORTIME on 175 Merrick Rd. in Lynbrook from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. More details can be found here.

70's Concert in Lynbrook: 45 RPM, which was voted LI’s best cover band, will play their fun and catchy 70's tunes at Greis Park on Friday, August 16 at 7:30pm. For more details on the band, visit their website.

Lynbrook Swim Across America: The Lynbrook Pool will be holding the 4th annual Swim Across America event on Saturday, 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. More details can be found here.
