Located in the Westwood section of Malverne, Gaddis Park is comprised of playgrounds, bike paths and a basketball court. The park is named in honor of Hamilton Gaddis, the first elected mayor of Malverne who governed the village during a very tumultuous time. With his wise fiscal decisions, Mayor Gaddis was able to steer the village through the Great Depression and save it from bankruptcy.  The Westwood station of the Long Island Rail Road is adjacent to the park. Residents without commuter passes can only use the parking lots near the train station on weekends and holidays.
