The Samuel & Elizabeth Bass Golding School in West Hempstead is one of two elementary yeshivas affiliated with the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County. When the school was founded in the 1950s, it enrolled only 30 students, but by the late 1980s, the flourishing campus needed to expand to accomodate its growing population. The school educates students from kindergarten through sixth grade in both Judaic and general studies in a co-educational, orthodox environment. Students participate in exciting programs such as the Franklin Institute, the Goudreau Museum of Math, a Shofar Making Workshop, Reading is Fundamental, and Author's Day. The school also incorporates an anti-bullying program and the Robert Rivest Healthy Choices Program. It also offers a diverse selection of clubs and programs that meet either during recess or after school.
