I'm suprised that the Capri Motel isn't a Chamber member. There always seems to be a lot ofRead More services for a fee and retail sales taking place there.

My husband and I went there the Friday before last. We arrived at 8:45PM and stood at the hostessRead More station in the entryway for a while before a waiter ran by and said someone would be right with us. A couple of minutes later, another wait person went by us repeating the same claim. Finally, a good five minutes after our arrival, her highness, the hostess, arrived. She asked if she could help us. We told her we’d like dinner. She looked everywhere except at us while she asked us how many people were in our group. My husband said, “Two.” (In fact, we even saw an empty table for two just sitting there.) She looked around again and asked if anyone would be joining us, and he repeated, “No, just two.” She proudly announced that she couldn’t seat us. We asked how long the wait would be, and she said she wouldn’t have a place for us for the rest of the night. Their website states the Friday dinner hours as “5:00PM til Close,” so how did she know we’d never get seated? She was rude and dismissive and absolutely turned us off from ever returning. We are Malvernites who were excited to try the new place in town. Now, I can assure you, we will never go back there!

Thanks for posting. I'm not much of a baker, but by the third batch, I managed to shape theRead More hamantaschen somewhat respectably. But even the mis-shaped ones are delicious!

One could always say that less "commuter activity" on weekends are "green." NotRead More being into "green" that much (installed and worked on the elevators at the Courtesy Hotel and Bowling Ally), I must say that the Town is trying to come out of the '60's and into 2013 the right way.

The west Hempstead LIRR does not have weekend and holiday service? Not a great "Green "Read More selling point

Based on the feedback received at this facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/brownwater/Read More and at my request, a meeting was held this week at Village Hall with Mayor McDonald, Trustee Bailey and DPW Superintendent Paul Jessup. Along with Rich Kern from LIAW and Kevin Manz from NYS DPS, we reviewed all the most recent complaints. It's clear this issue has re-emerged after a relatively long period of few complaints, my home included. A few key points: 1) it's imperative that if you have an issue, you need to make your voice heard. Send an email to: brownwater@groups.facebook.com It will be reviewed by NY DPS and the Public Service Commission 2) LIAW (now NYAW) will be replacing a number of water mains in Malverne in 2013. 3) The Village of Malverne understands this as an important issue and is keeping the pressure on NYAW. Again, YOU NEED TO MAKE IT KNOWN IF YOU HAVE A WATER QUALITY ISSUE.

Of course they would deny it as ehy are probably correct they don't own the hotel -- Lynbook MotelRead More LLP owns it. they might own Lynbrook Motel LLP but they probably dont directly own the motel. I know its splitting hairs but that is probably how they look at it.
Mark reyes February 7, 2013 at 05:09 pm
There are business profiles that come up on a couple of websites that show the info.
Mark reyes February 7, 2013 at 05:01 pm
google lynbrook motel LP and see what comes up.
