Grace Lutheran School
400 Hempstead Ave, Malverne, NY 11565
In 1959, Grace Lutheran laid the cornerstone for a school building after nearly two years of fundraising. When theMore day school opened it only enrolled students in kindergarten, first and second grades. By 1968 though, the school taught students up to the eighth grade. Today, the school educates students from nursery school through sixth grade. The students receive Bible-based religious instruction and attend weekly chapel services. The school also has classes in art and music, a foreign language program and a computer lab, where students as young as four receive lessons on how to use the technology. Students can also participate in extracurricular events and activities, including karate, dance and choir. Thanks to a successful fundraising drive the school also has a newly renovated outdoor playground.
