With a playground, roller hockey rink, basketball courts and over a half-dozen athletic fields on site, Greis Park isMore a fun location for the whole family.

Head over to the opposite side of the park for the village pool, complete with twisting slides and a snack shop. There is also a playground and picnic tables at the park.

This village park is used for organized sports and recreational use alike. Free parking is available on the playground side and next to the roller hockey rink.

One of Greis Park's baseball fields includes outfield walls and, adjacent to the field, a pitcher warmup area and batting cage.

West Hempstead Police Activity League, or PAL, is a nonprofit sports league that allows children to play different typesMore of sports. This location features a hockey rink and bleachers with a great view of a pond. It also has a large parking lot in case you bring your car. Other sports include baseball, softball, basketball, lacrosse and more.
Hall's Pond Park

Hall's Pond Park is an eleven-acre park that includes a five and a half acre pond. Paved walkways, bridges and parkMore benches surround the pond and an outdoor hockey rink is located nearby. The park, which is owned by Nassau County, was orginally designed for drainage purposes. In the summer of 2010, the County closed the park so it could give it a long-awaited makeover. When the rennovations are complete in 2011, the park will have a new gazebo and amphitheater, and improved fencing, lighting, trash cans, walkways and drinking foutains. The footbridge will have received a facelift and a new catch basin filtration system will help to keep the pond water clean and clear.
