After Peppino's Pizza closed its doors, West Hempstead residents didn't have to live without their cheesy slices and…More Italian dishes for long.</p> <p>Pizza Cucina opened up in this location on July 2011.</p> <p>The small Italian restaurant offers traditional staples - pizza, heroes, calzones and Italian dishes like baked ziti, eggplant and chicken parmesan. They have specialty slices and will soon be offering unique options for health-conscious diners and those with food allergies.</p> <p>They plan to sell whole-wheat, gluten-free, vegan, low-sugar, low-carb and organic pizza, pasta and desserts.</p> <p>.There is a beverage cooler near the door if you want to grab a quick soda or other cold drink. Take out is most common, but there are a few tables for customers who would like to dine in. </p>

They named in Scooop with three o's - one for each of their children.</p> <p>Step inside Scooop and the decor will bring you back to a simpler time. Customers can doodle on the chalkboard table-tops and watch re-runs of “Leave It To Beaver” while enjoying sundaes, milkshakes and other frozen treats.</p> <p>They also serve fat-free frozen yogurt, fruit smoothies, candy, floats, milkshakes, soda pop, old-fashioned egg creams and frozen coffee drinks including Angelis' creation, the Scooopacino.</p>
