The Lakeview Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency response services for Lakeview and parts of West…More Hempstead and Rockville Centre. Originally, this station was known as Company 1, and was one of two stations covering this area. In 1993, Company 2, which was located on Hempstead Gardens Drive, closed its station and the two units merged to form the Lakeview Fire Department.</p>
<p>The department is comprised entirely of volunteers who reside within the communities they serve. These individuals are all CPR certified and have completed training at the fire academy and in the field. The department's fleet of engines and trucks also includes an ambulance which is operated by trained EMTs and firefighters.</p>
<p>The department holds fire safety programs at local schools and street fairs, and invites youth groups to tour the station. Starting in 2011, the station will be holding blood drives.</p>

Its regular Sunday worship services incorporate music, Bible readings and participation from the parishioners. In addition to a music ministry, the church also has a Sunday School, a weekly Bible study group and a clothing ministry, which distributes clothing to those in need from 10am to 2pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
