Jogger Struck by Car on Sunrise Highway

The victim was taken to a local hospital for multiple injuries.

Nassau County police on Friday night said a man jogging on Sunrise Highway was hit by a car.

The jogger, who is 31, was crossing the highway northbound on Peninsula Boulevard when he was hit by a 2007 Subaru traveling westbound.

The woman driving the car remained at the scene. The victim was taken to a local hospital for multiple injuries, though the police didn't specify what the injuries were.

Nassau County police added that based on its initial investigation, there was no criminality involved.
