Parents know their 17, 18, and 19-year old offspring are not adults. But colleges don't seem to…Read More acknowledge that. They do not notify parents even when their student is failing, has stopped coming to class, or is seriously floundering in some other way. The college won't tell you your child's grades (even though you are legally entitled to them, if your child is your dependent), but they do know where to send the tuition bill.
