Families and friends
joined students at the morning and afternoon Thanksgiving Feasts in the Garden
City Community Church Nursery School recently.
The banquet tables in Gardner Hall had beautiful table decorations the children made that were placemats and dried flowers in containers.
A sampling of the placemats said: "I am thankful for..."
"...chickens, apple pie, fish, friends, my mom and dad, my sisters and my brother."- Josephine
"...cars, mommy and daddy and friends."- Daniel
"...flowers and my little brother. He's so cute!"- Eloise
"...lunch and dinner."- Amanda
"...my bunny and my skateboard."- JP
The children made the meal that included healthy vegetable soup, muffins and fruit salad.
“Thanksgiving is one of the nicest holidays at Nursery School. We focus on teaching the children all about love and gratitude, as well as thankfulness for all they have in the world.
All the families and friends join together to celebrate this special day with our feast," Cathie McCullough, Director of Community Nursery School said.
