Last Thursday, the first of many summer car shows were held in the parking lot behind the stores on Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook.

The annual events — held every Thursday of the summer from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. — is sponsored by the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce.

There is no charge to attend this event. Just bring yourself, maybe the kids, and take a journey through the history of the automobile. You might be surprised at what you'll find at the car shows, and the owners will be more than happy to chat with you about them.
