Santa Spends Weekend in Malverne-West Hempstead [PHOTOS]

Many youngsters met with the big man in the red suit during his visits throughout both communities.

Santa had a whirlwind weekend in Malverne and West Hempstead.

The big man in the red suit started his Saturday off by visiting with youngsters during three separate "Breakfasts with Santa" in Malverne, then threw some strikes with kids bowling at San-Dee Lanes and stopped by the Malverne Cinema, where many children came for special free showings of "The Smurfs" movie.

By the afternoon, countless kids had hopped on Santa's lap, posing for photos and telling him what they'd like for Chirstmas, but his day wasn't nearly over.

As the sun went down, Santa and his Mrs. boarded their sleigh and rode down Hempstead Avenue escorted by a parade of elves and the Pride of Malverne High School Marching Band for the village's holiday lighting. Then, he once again spent time visiting with kids inside the Malverne train station and at local businesses.

And that was only Saturday!

Santa made his way to West Hempstead Sunday afternoon, where many children had their chance to meet him, get goodie bags from his elves and whisper their Christmas wish lists into his ear during a holiday party sponsored by the W.H. Community Support Association.
