Fly With the Owls, Fundraisers and H.S. Plays

A wide variety of events happening in Lynbrook on Saturday.

Whether you want to take part in a community event, help raise money for a worth cause, or simply want to relax and enjoy a show, there's something for everyone happening today in Lynbrook.

Here are five of them:

8 a.m. — Fly With the Owls, a fundraiser for several organizations in the Lynbrook community, will be held bright and early this morning. The Fun Run begins at 8 a.m., and the Four-Mile Run starts at 8:30 a.m.

9:30 a.m. — The Women for is presenting its annual Holiday Harvest Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church. The festivities include a series of collectibles and items for sale, homemade food, and, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., children can have their pictures taken with Santa.

2 p.m. — The Lynbrook Public Library is hosting Crazy Henry and Banjo Bob, a comedy and music team playing various types of music. And best of all, the show is free! Visit the library website for more information.

7 p.m. — The will hold a fundraiser for Kelly Ann Cartmell, a member of the department's Medical Company, who suffered a severe brain injury resulting from diabetes. The fundraiser will be held at the Tally-Ho firehouse on Horton Avenue. For more information about this event and/or to make a donation, click .

8 p.m. — Lynbrook High School will perform Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat tonight at 8 p.m. This is the second of three performances. For more on the show, click .
