Malverne Community Theatre to Host ‘A Night of Improv’

Comedy show is fast-paced, interactive and made up by actors on the spot.

The Malverne Community Theatre would like to remind residents of their upcoming comedy sketch show “A Night of Improv.”

The show, which is made up completely on the spot, stars Potoula Anagnostakos, John Ortiz, Michael Pagano, Matthew Waldman, and James Weippert.

“This show is fast-paced, interactive, and extremely entertaining,” said David Coonan, President of the Malverne Community Theatre.  “Each night is a completely different performance - you don't want to miss this."

A Night of Improv takes place on Friday, September 20 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, September 21 at 8 p.m. at the Malverne Bible Church, located at 70 Franklin Avenue.

Tickets are $15 and can be reserved at malvernetheatre.org or purchased at the door.

Founded in 1967, The Malverne Community Theatre is an organization dedicated to producing theatrical works that are “rooted in the traditions of classic theater, but foster experimentation, fresh ideas, and true imagination.”

“Through our productions and other endeavors, we hope to provide truly memorable experiences for our audiences and supporters,” the theatre said in a release. ”The Malverne Community Theatre aims to be an institution that will contribute to the cultural landscape of Malverne, the surrounding communities of Long Island, and beyond.”
