No. 66: Attend the Lynbrook Expo

No. 66 in the Patch series “” is to attend the Lynbrook Expo.

The Lynbrook Expo will take place at on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year is the first annual Music and Arts Festival.

Flyin’ Sideways will be one of the bands hitting the stage, playing rock-n-roll cover tunes dating back to the 70s. They will also perform favorite classics from the Grateful Dead to Dave Matthews.

The Sunrise band will play a variety of R&B, jazz, funk, rock and classical tunes. Currently performing in venues around Long Island and New York City, they are working on their second full length album.

It wouldn't be a fantastic event without a great DJ for in between band sets. Doug Yadanza, a member of the National Association of Mobile Entertainers, will provide entertainment for all ages.

There will be art experiences for the kids from . Classic cars, fire and military displays, crafts, bouncy houses and refreshments will be available for guests. Additionally, you will find one-of-a-kind artwork, jewelry and photography on display.

All of the profits will directly benefit families in Lynbrook that are currently struggling. Donations, both big or small, are welcome. Those who give $25 or more will get a complimentary t-shirt.

Mark your calendars and make a point to attend an event that is sure to entertain, as well as help families here in town that are in need of community support.
