West Hempstead Kiwanis announces The “Bob Smith Community Service Award”.

Robert Smith – long time West Hempstead resident – Past President and Secretary of the West Hempstead Kiwanis Club passed away last month. His friends, family, and fellow Kiwanis community know how tireless he worked for our club and supported the resident’s of West Hempstead. Bob was generous in donations, time and spirit. He is now with his beloved Peg who he honored with a Vintage Car Rally in West Hempstead, a bench in Kamp Kiwanis – the children’s summer camp and generous donations in her name.
In Bob’s honor we would like to announce an annual Community Service Award which will make funds available to students of West Hempstead who demonstrate the spirit of Bob Smith through support of West Hempstead civic or cultural events.
