Marie Zito of Malverne Named Regional Manager at Amalgamated Bank

Amalgamated Bank is pleased to announce that Malverne resident Marie A. Zito joined the bank as Regional Manager for its Manhattan, Brooklyn, Washington DC, California, and Nevada branches.

Zito has 20 years of branch management experience. Most recently, she was a Branch Manager at Flushing Bank, overseeing a $450 million branch. Prior to that, Zito was a District Sales Manager and a Branch Manager for HSBC Bank and a Regional Sales Manager for Greenpoint Savings Bank in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

“I am delighted to welcome Marie to the Amalgamated team,” said John Romano, Executive Vice President of Operations at Amalgamated. “She is a proven leader with an ability to build and strengthen relationships and generate results. She’s an excellent addition to our management team.” 

Marie Zito started at Amalgamated on June 10. Since beginning her new role, Zito has been focused on understanding the customer base and communities that Amalgamated serves.

“I am happy to join Amalgamated,” said Zito. “The retail banking team is building out its offerings while staying laser-focused on a superior customer experience. The drive to grow and constantly improve is inspiring, and I’m glad to be part of this talented team.”

Marie resides in Malverne with her husband John. She is actively involved with the Executive Women’s Golf Association of Long Island, and has chaired the Events Committee.
