National Liquidators Ready for Grand Re-Opening

National Wholesale Liquidators will celebrate its return to West Hempstead on Nov. 22.

National Wholesale Liquidators will re-open its flagship store in West Hempstead Tuesday and mark its return to the community with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Customers can start shopping the 225,000 square foot store as early as 8 a.m. on Nov. 22, where they can expect to find more than 50,000 items including housewares, hardware, health and beauty products, clothing, electronics, furniture, books, automotive gear and toys.

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano will stop by the store at 1 p.m. to host a ribbon-cutting.

The family owned and operated company, founded by Eva Rosen in 1984, is expected bring an estimated 125 jobs back to Nassau County by re-opening the store on Hempstead Turnpike and Westminster Road. This will be the brand's first Long Island location since the original company liquidated in bankruptcy in 2008, Newsday reported. 

NWL also operates stores in Yonkers, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, Long Island City, New Jersey, Middletown, N.Y, and Dorchester, Mass.
