The new IHPS of South Nassau is owned and operated by Lisa Galis, who has been a member of the IHPS staff since December of 2008. Galis is the proud owner of a 4-year old American Bulldog named Luca and a 5-year old cat named Phoebe. She currently lives in Lynbrook with her husband Phil and their 1-year-old son Jake.

"I truly love what I do and helping people with their pets. I am very excited to offer this type of service in my hometown and where I know so many people need it," Galis said. "As an employee of IHPS, I quickly discovered how rewarding and fulfilling this profession is - I knew this was something I would want to do forever."

In Home Pet Services, Inc. was started in 2003 by President and Founder Robyn Elman, a Long Island native. Elman started IHPS with no idea how quickly it would grow, and franchised out her first location, Clinton Hill in Brooklyn, in 2006.

Elman franchised out another location in 2008, Marine Park in Brooklyn, and grew her own clientele to over 1,000 clients and 15 employees at her Northeast Queens location. The 5th franchise opened in November of 2011 in Great Neck, and now the South Nassau location is the 6th franchisee owned IHPS, with a total of 7 locations throughout Queens and Long Island.

“I could not be more excited that Lisa is going to be expanding out services into South Nassau," Elman said. "She has been my right hand woman, helping the business grow and I am so happy for her that she will now be one of our franchise owners."

This new IHPS of South Nassau will cover dog walking, pet sitting, pet first aid and CPR classes, bird clipping and will service the areas of Lynbrook, Rockville Centre, Valley Stream, Hewlett, Woodmere, Cedarhurst, Franklin Square, Oceanside and Malverne.

Galis can taxi pets to and from the IHPS in-home boarding (North East Queens location run by Robyn Elman) in Bellerose for her clients if needed.
