  1. Idol Homecoming: Howard T. Herber Middle School's social worker, Matt Rosen, recently watched his teenage son, Robbie, achieve national fame as week-after-week he impressed the celebrity judges on the FOX hit show American Idol. Rosen's run on the show ended on March 3, but the Merrick teen says he's just getting started. See what else he told our Patch reporter later today.
  2. Mules Coach Earns Top Honor: The Malverne Mules varsity basketball took home their sixth conference title this past season and last month their coach also earned a coveted award too. Click here to learn more.
  3. Bilingual Storytime: What's better than storytime at the local library? A read-aloud session for kids that breaks down barriers and encourages them to learn a new language. Bilingual storytime continues at the West Hempstead Public Library at 7 p.m. tonight. Leslie Vanegas, a Spanish-speaking  woman, will lead children through stories, songs and a craft in Spanish and English. This program is for kids ages 3-6, but mom and dad can come, too. for more information.
