Dec. 7: Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

• Today is the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. In East Rockaway, Pearl Harbor will take place at Carrigan Point, which is at the Gazebo by the Fishery, at 12 p.m.

• If you're headed to Lawrence, check out at the Rock Hall Museum, located at 199 Broadway. For children 6-10, head there to listen to thestory of the American Girl, Felicity.

• The Temple Am Echad continues, join them to make meals in their kitchen for the hungry this holiday season. 

• The holds today at 6:30 p.m. Spend a pleasant evening knitting, crocheting, or quilting hats, lap robes, blankets, and other items for newborns, children in need, and veterans in our VA hospitals. Students can earn school credit. Contact the library at (516) 599-8630 for more info. 

• The holds a in the church library tonight at 7:30 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Dec. 14.
