Five things to know in Lynbrook on Tuesday.

1 — A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Tuesday morning through Wednesday evening. The National Weather Service reports that a mix of snow and sleet will impact the Lynbrook area over the next couple of days. Total accumulation of 3-5 inches of snow is possible. Stay tuned for details on possible school closings.

2 — Visit Lynbrook Patch at 11 a.m. today for our newest feature article, "100 Things to Do in Lynbrook." Starting with #100 today, we'll count down the many things the village has to offer.

3 — The Lynbrook Public Library is holding "Painting Through Life" from 7-8:30 p.m. Teens in grades 6-12 are welcome to come create their own painting. This event is sponsored by the Long Island Children's Museum and the Willem de Kooning Foundation. Those who registered for the class in December — which was cancelled due to the snow — can attend this session. Others must call the library to see if there is still room. Call (516) 599-8630 for more information.

** UPDATE: "Painting Through Life" has been cancelled. **

4 — will hold its weekly "Boot Camp" at 6:30 p.m. This one-hour class incorporates aerobic movements, a core workout, and some strength training. This class is free for members ($20 for non-members).
