2. Catholic Schools Celebration: At Wednesday night's Village Board meeting in Malverne, Our Lady of Lourdes School received a special citation from Malverne Mayor Patricia Norris McDonald in honor of Catholic Schools Week which kicked off this weekend. 3. Village Board Recap: The Malverne Village Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting Wednesday night. If you missed it, stay tuned for the Patch recap to learn about the highlights of the night.

Brown Water Update: Long Island American Water President Bill Varley attended the Malverne Village Board meeting on Wednesday to respond to the outrage residents have expressed about the quality of their tap water. 5. Early Spring! Even though the village of Malverne needed to cancel their tradition outdoor Groundhog Day ceremony due to safety concerns over the icy weather conditions, Mel did make a prediction.
