July 15: Water Company News, Patch Weekend Guide

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — A warm and sunny Friday is expected, with a high temperature of 83 degrees. The evening hours will bring a cool 66 degrees.

2 — The Lynbrook Public Library is holding "Musical Adventures" from 2-3 p.m. Children ages four and up can enjoy an hour of music with Darlene Green.

3 — Earlier this week, a deal was reached between two major water companies on Long Island. Patch will have details later today, including how Lynbrook-based Long Island American fits into it all.

4 — No plans for Saturday or Sunday just yet? No problem — Patch's weekend guide will be posted on the site later today. We'll be highlighting some great events taking place near you.
