  1. Brady Bill: Six months after Gov. Cuomo -- legislation crafted in honor of fallen Malverne firefighter Paul Brady to add volunteer firefighters names to the New York State memorial wall -- it's receiving a second chance in Albany. Full story here.

  3. Drivers Ed: Registration for the West Hempstead school district's summer drivers education program will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at  This course, which runs from July 2 to August 17, costs $455 and is open to all residents. It will be conducted by East Meadow Driving School.
