  1. Once Upon A Time... It's not your standard fairytale, but it is quite interesting how a plumber from West Hempstead came to be the proud owner of a majestic castle. Patch recently took a visit to OHEKA castle, where Gary Melius gave the grand tour of the Huntington landmark he worked to restore. Get the story, video and breath-taking photos here at 10 a.m.
  2. Crunching the Numbers: Budget review continues in the Malverne School District tonight. School administrators, board members, employees and residents are encouraged to attend the meeting at 8 p.m. in the Malverne High School library to discuss the proposed budget changes.
  3. Teamwork: "Together We Can." That was the message students in the West Hempstead public schools captured in photos, drawings, and written work to reflect the power people have when they cooperate. Roughly 80 students from the district where honored by the PTA/PTSA for their creativity and insight. Patch will have the story and photos later today.
  4. #93: Patch continues to countdown the top 100 attractions in Malverne and West Hempstead. Can you guess what made #93? (Find out soon.)  to see through
  5. Students Honored: Tonight West Hempstead High School will induct a number of its students into the National Honor Society. The ceremony starts at 7 p.m. in the high school. Congrats to all the inductees!
