Students from Malverne and West Hempstead continue to entertain on stage as two more concerts are held tonight. The battle between local Dems and the GOP for control of the County and the Town of Hempstead also reached a crescendo this week.

  1. Redistricting Approved: To the surprise of many gathered at Tuesday's session of the Nassau County Legislature, the Republicans to redistrict the area. to learn how this will affect representation where you live. Then, tell us how you fell about the changes in today's Question of the Day.
  2. Spring Encore: Part II of West Hempstead Middle School's spring concert takes place tonight. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. See highlights from the first night later today. In Malverne, Davison Avenue School's fourth graders will also perform a concert tonight at 7:30 p.m.
  3. Sports, Arts and Science: Malverne High School will host a science symposium tonight at 7 p.m. Over the past week, the district also showcased its student artwork and awarded its top athletes who participated in spring sports. Click here for the story.
  4. HANC Honored: The students at the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County in West Hempstead received a special award this month from Power to Learn's Charity Champions program. Learn more later today. 
  5. Convention Coverage: The local Democrats held their convention Tuesday night to formally nominate candidates to run for seats in the Town of Hempstead government.
