PHOTOS: Spirits High at Malverne Wine-Beer Tasting

The Malverne Civic Association holds its annual fundraiser.

The American Legion Hall on Franklin Avenue was once again transformed into a chic wine bar, complete with live music, Friday night for the Malverne Civic Association's annual tasting fundraiser.

With a signature Malverne wine glass in hand, residents mingled around the hall, indulging in good conversation, an assortment of cheeses and chocolate fondue, and a wide selection of wines from around the world and Long Island.

New this year, guests could also enjoy some hand-picked domestic beers too, and bid in a silent auction for exquisite Malverne photographs shot by local photographers. Several Malverne merchants also donated prizes, which were raffled off at the end of the night.
