PREVIEW: Malverne Historical Holiday Gala

The party of the year is almost here!

If you've never been to the Malverne Historical Society's Holiday Gala you are missing out!

Picture all your neighbors and friends dressed up, dancing to live music, sipping on beautifully-crafted cocktails and dining on delicious food under an exquisitely decorated tent. There's a constant buzz of lively conversations, a sense of community and plenty of holiday spirit. (Last year, Frosty the Snowman even stopped by to show off his moves on the dance floor with a few lucky ladies.)

Sure, the kids get to have breakfast, bowl and watch a movie with Santa on Saturday, but on Friday the adults get to have some fun. It's the perfect place to party before the hectic holiday season is in full swing, enjoy a night out with the friends you don't see enough or get to know some of your fellow Malvernites. You can also tour the charming Restoration Home, which contains artifacts of the village's history and is always decked out for the holidays. You may even go home with a great raffle prize!

So on Dec. 2, we hope to see you at this year's Gala. The party will kick off at the Joseph L. Landers Memorial Restoration home, located at 369 Ocean Avenue in Malverne, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. for more information or check out some of the photos above from last year's celebration.
