Sept. 1: Crime Report, Blood Drive, Outages and More

From power outages to dangerously low blood supplies, Long Island is still feeling the effects of Hurricane Irene.

Here are your top stories for Sept. 1.

1. Crime Report:See what burglaries, thefts, vandalism and other crimes happened around the neighborhood this week. Look out for the report later this morning.
2. Blood Drive: There will be a blood drive from 2:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the West Hempstead Public Library. If you can, come out and donate. Long Island's blood supply is because of Hurricane Irene.
