The Calm Before Round 2 of the Storm

Scenic shots before Wednesday's storm started up again.

Over the past 24 hours, Malverne and West Hempstead have been hit withthat have dropped at additional 14 inches of packed powder on the community.

There was a quiet lull in between the 3-inch dusting of snow that fell early Wednesday and nearly foot of it that came pouring down at night.

During this time, Malverne and West Hempstead had only a thin blanket of fresh powder and a stillness in the air - the calm before the real storm - which we captured in these scenic shots.

Enjoy these photos and feel free to share your own!
