West Hempstead Back in New Site Name

Malverne-West Hempstead-Lynbrook Patch will launch on Thursday.

After announcing the forthcoming of Malverne-West Hempstead and Lynbrook Patch sites to create Malverne-Lynbrook Patch, we heard from some of our devoted readers that the omission of West Hempstead from the site's name didn't feel so great.

Well, consider it (un)done: we've decided to bring back West Hempstead to the site's masthead! Even though it may be a mouthful, Malverne-West Hempstead-Lynbrook Patch will launch on Thursday.

We would like to remind everyone that there will be no interruption in Malverne, West Hempstead or Lynbrook news coverage and information. We'll still be here - bigger and better than ever!

Thank you for bringing West Hempstead back to the Patch...I was feeling very left out! It is nice that you reponded to the readers' comments so swiftly.

I think you guys are doing a wonderful job. I also think that although a mouthful West Hempstead is holding up our end of the bargain by being the Peyton Place of Nassau County. Tara you may receive the Pulitzer prize equivalent for online media content reporting. How about a shout out to Lakeview!!!

That’s very nice that school districts that have the highest school taxes and costs, areRead More receiving additional money. The problem is that our state is in dire financial trouble and we can’t afford it. Upstate NY is a distressed disaster. How much more taxes are we going to pay?. Hear those feet marching out of state. Try fighting for drilling so we have jobs and revenue.

.......there they go again whitewashing a dilemma they don't want to touch......unconscionableRead More salaries and pensions paid by the taxpayer for incompetence? Not to mention 13 week vacations as well as numerous 1/2 days and weather shortened days. A $50000 band aid we end up paying indirectly anyway only increases taxes further down the road. They are either that stupid or they think we are!
