Who's Blogging on Lynbrook Patch?

Get to know more about your community bloggers and their work.

If you're a regular reader of Lynbrook Patch, you know all about our coverage of news, village government, sports, schools and more.

But have you seen our blogs?

We recently recruited several bloggers to write about different topics affecting village residents, ranging from health and nutrition, lifestyle, humor, food, and more.

The following is a little information about our most popular bloggers:

Jane Grogan

'Round these parts, she's known as "Janie G." Her inner writer has been bottled up for some time, but has found its calling here on Lynbrook Patch. Janie G. will make you smile, laugh, and cry.

Be sure to check out her latest blog, "Why People Should Choose to Live in Lynbrook." She ought to know — she's been here nearly 50 years.

And yes, Steve is her husband.

Ariella Monti

Another victim of the so-called "brain drain" on Long Island, Monti, 28, along with her fiance`, headed south to North Carolina in search of an affordable apartment and better job market.

And thought they've both found jobs and a place to live, the engaged couple is still coping with having moved away from their friends and family, whom are still here on Long Island.

Patch would also like to congratulate the couple, who will be married early next month!

Shannon Donadio

Not all of us can eat every piece of food put in front of us. No, for those with weak stomachs, it's a very selective process between what we can and cannot eat.

Shannon Donadio was recently diagnosed with Crohn's disease, and she's been forced to adhere to a strict diet. Ironic, considering she owns her own personal chef business.

So to help others with sensitive stomachs, Donadio is running a food blog, complete with a shopping list of great items that are healthy and easy on the digestive system. And if you thought her advice was good, just wait until you see her recipes!
