176th Ceremony of Remembrance-Bristol & Mexico Shipwrecks

Join the Historical Society of East Rockaway and Lynbrook and the Gaelic Society of St Agnes Cathedral for a Ceremony of Remembrance for the victims of the shipwrecks of the Bristol and the Mexico, 176 years ago. Many of the victims were from Ireland, on their way along with other immigrants in search of a better life in America. Rain, or shine, or snow.

Meet at the Mariners Monument, in the center of the Rockville Cemetery (Old Sandhole Cemetery), corner of Ocean Ave and Merrick Road.
